At the invitation of one of the world’s leading audio system manufacturers, Kyron Audio, we designed an extension to the existing home dedicated solely to listening to recorded music. The client is an avid collector of vinyl records and wanted a sound room that excluded all exterior noise. The complexity of creating a room within a room with minimal physical connections between was the start. All aspects of the air management system were designed in house and custom made to very specific plans.

Jayde Deverson worked closely with Lee Gray and Leon Suter, the founders and directors of Kyron Audio, to fine tune all acoustic treatment in the space. A good listening room is not about total absorption which only leaves a room feeling dead. This room needed to be alive and so reflection points and absorption points at various frequencies were tuned to create the perfect sweet spot in the room for the listener.

The project is nearing completion, with final fit-out now underway. The speakers and amplifiers have been delivered and awaiting final installation and tuning.
