Spanish Revival Beach House
Australia - Coming soon
Currently in the 2D Concept Design Phase for a large family living on the cliff top overlooking the sea with unparalleled views to the setting sun and north over long sandy beaches. At around 620 square metres, this home will sit over three levels and will feature a main reception hall with a 20 foot raked ceiling with exposed hardwood beams recycled from a 120 year old pier. Other features will include a mix of terracotta and traditional glazed tiles, bronze framed glazing units and locally sourced solid stone primary walls.
Being a car collector and owner of various watercraft, effective vehicle storage along the coast, is critical. Positive ventilation and air filtration along with heat and humidity control require very careful attention and the use of state of the art air management systems.
The inspiration for the design comes from the client’s past; a childhood growing up on the coast in Southern California with great architecture and broad open spaces.
This project is still unfolding with concepts nearly complete. Watch this space.
