A Victorian styled, two storey villa designed primarily as a luxurious and spacious family home of 630 square metres (6780 square feet). With a very important feature being a large parking space and workshop area in the basement for the client’s collection of classic cars.

Currently in the final planning stages and interior design elements being decided. Twelve-foot ceilings throughout with period correct plaster cornices, timber chair rails, architraves and skirting boards, this project will accurately recreate the grander Australian residential designs of the late 1800’s whilst embracing the latest in solar power technology, temperature and humidity control and thermal efficiency.

Locally quarried sandstone walls and traditional rendering techniques will be capped off using eave corbels cast from moulds taken of originals saved from demolition.

The workshop will be fitted with the client’s mill and lathe and will be plumbed for compressed air. The parking area itself will host three parking hoists to maximise vehicle storage space.
